Defined module functions
- Receives post-reaction slurry or mixed material.
- Performs case-selected solid/liquid separation.
- Holds and conditions PLS or other process liquor.
- Maintains separate solids, liquor, wash and off-spec ownership.
SHM · Solid-process module
Separates post-reaction phases, holds the resulting streams and releases clarified liquor and managed solids only to verified receivers.
Module function
The functional boundary is explicit so a module is never treated as a universal process claim.
How the module works
Each step names both the physical function and the evidence required before the next handover.
RM release and SHM capacity verified.
Separation state and stream identity confirmed.
Named solids receiver ready.
Liquor state and capacity valid.
Quality, route and receiver criteria met.
Stream schedule
A stream is not released merely because the equipment can move it. Its state, route and receiving boundary must be accepted.
| Stream | Direction | Physical handover | Acceptance / release basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Post-reaction material | Inlet | RM → SHM | Source, phase, flow and reaction state accepted. |
| Clarified liquor / PLS | Product / intermediate | SHM → Prism, ERM or named receiver | Clarity, chemistry, flow and receiver criteria defined. |
| Managed solids | Residual / co-product | SHM → named solids receiver | Wash, moisture, chemistry and destination accepted. |
| Wash / off-spec liquor | Off-spec | SHM → hold, recycle or residual receiver | Separate route and return conditions released. |

Unsupported values are never guessed. The table states either the current public definition or exactly how the value is established.

Interface schedule
Process, utility, residual and control handovers are listed separately so responsibility is visible.
| Interface | Class | Handover | Acceptance evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| RM inlet | Process in | Post-reaction material | Released RM state and SHM capacity. |
| Liquor outlet | Process out | Clarified liquor / PLS | Named recovery receiver criteria. |
| Solids outlet | Residual / co-product | Managed solids | Named receiver and handling state. |
| Wash / drain | Residual | Wash, cleaning and off-spec liquid | Hold, recycle or residual route. |
| Automation | Controls | Equipment state, levels, routes and release evidence | Cause/effect and receiver feedback tested. |
Operating envelope
The system envelope, Kit or chemistry limits, installed module configuration, project evidence and receiver criteria all apply. The narrowest valid limit governs.
| Envelope layer | Governing rule | Checks before release |
|---|---|---|
| System | Post-reaction material remains within applicable Adapt physical and chemical limits. | Chemistry, temperature, viscosity, solids and containment. |
| Kit | The released Kit defines expected phases and material compatibility. | Liquor composition, solids, wash and cleaning. |
| Module | Installed separator and holding configuration define local limits. | Flow, solids loading, volume, cycle and equipment state. |
| Receiver | Liquor and solids are released independently. | Quality, route, capacity and off-spec handling. |
Safety, cleaning and lifecycle
Safe state, cleaning, maintainability and evidence gates are part of the technical definition, not afterthoughts.
