PWCM · Water-process module

Produced Water Conditioning Module

Conditions a named raw produced-water source by separating gas, bulk hydrocarbons and solids before downstream recovery or treatment.

P0 controlled development · SSOT HOLD · no case capacity or performance releaseProject engineering required

Module function

What it does—and what it does not do.

The functional boundary is explicit so a module is never treated as a universal process claim.

DOES

Defined module functions

  • Protects and accepts the named produced-water inlet.
  • Disengages gas where required.
  • Applies case-selected bulk deoiling, emulsion and solids conditioning.
  • Holds conditioned water in PWCM-QA until the named receiver and route are proven.
  • Creates separately owned gas, oil, solids and off-spec residuals.
DOES NOT

Explicit exclusions

  • No universal technology train.
  • No numeric outlet guarantee without representative analysis and a named receiver.
  • No case capacity, DN, pressure class, vessel volume, outlet performance or commercial claim is released at P0.

How the module works

The PWCM mechanism, step by step.

Each step names both the physical function and the evidence required before the next handover.

01Accept source

Source and hazardous-area basis accepted.

02Disengage gas

Gas destination and protection available.

03Remove bulk oil

Oil route, state and water handover criteria proven.

04Condition solids

Solids and backwash destinations defined.

05Hold / verify handover

Receiver limits, route truth and residual routes met.

Stream schedule

Every inlet, product and residual has an owner.

A stream is not released merely because the equipment can move it. Its state, route and receiving boundary must be accepted.

Published datasheet

What is fixed, selectable and project-specific.

Unsupported values are never guessed. The table states either the current public definition or exactly how the value is established.

Interface schedule

What crosses the module boundary.

Process, utility, residual and control handovers are listed separately so responsibility is visible.

Operating envelope

The applicable limits form a hierarchy.

The system envelope, Kit or chemistry limits, installed module configuration, project evidence and receiver criteria all apply. The narrowest valid limit governs.

Safety, cleaning and lifecycle

The module includes more than the process duty.

Safe state, cleaning, maintainability and evidence gates are part of the technical definition, not afterthoughts.

01

Safety & release

  • Confirm gas, H2S / sour-service, hydrocarbon, pressure and hazardous-area requirements.
  • Segregate gas, oil, solids, sludge, backwash and off-spec water.
  • Block downstream release when receiver or barrier evidence is invalid.
02

Cleaning & changeover

  • Define cleaning and backwash from selected barriers and fouling basis.
  • Maintain named receivers for sludge, backwash and cleaning chemicals.
03

Engineering & service

  • Produced-water sampling and complete analytical programme.
  • Barrier selection, hazardous-area and residual engineering.
  • FAT/SAT and receiver-specific outlet verification.
