Defined module functions
- Receives accepted clarified liquor.
- Applies the selected dissolved-phase selectivity mechanism.
- Creates a product-bearing fraction and a separate raffinate.
- Controls wash, regeneration and off-spec destinations.
PRISM · Solid-process module
Adds a qualified selective dissolved-metal recovery or concentration step between clarified liquor and final recovery.
Module function
The functional boundary is explicit so a module is never treated as a universal process claim.
How the module works
Each step names both the physical function and the evidence required before the next handover.
Inlet and receiver criteria accepted.
Configuration, media state and route valid.
Product route and state confirmed.
Sequence and waste destinations proven.
Both receiver criteria met.
Stream schedule
A stream is not released merely because the equipment can move it. Its state, route and receiving boundary must be accepted.
| Stream | Direction | Physical handover | Acceptance / release basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clarified process liquor | Inlet | SHM → Prism | Complete analysis, clarity, flow and variability accepted. |
| Product fraction | Product / intermediate | Prism → ERM or named product receiver | Target concentration and receiver criteria defined. |
| Raffinate | Raffinate | Prism → named downstream or residual receiver | Chemistry, route and receiver capacity accepted. |
| Wash / regenerant / off-spec | Residual | Prism → controlled receiver | Separated from product and raffinate routes. |

Interface schedule
Process, utility, residual and control handovers are listed separately so responsibility is visible.
| Interface | Class | Handover | Acceptance evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Liquor inlet | Process in | Accepted clarified liquor | Analysis, clarity, route and feed state. |
| Product outlet | Process out | Product-bearing fraction | Named receiver quality and capacity. |
| Raffinate outlet | Process out / residual | Separate raffinate | Named route and chemistry accepted. |
| Service streams | Utility / residual | Wash, regenerant and cleaning | Supply and waste routes released. |
| Automation | Controls | Configuration, cycle, state and route evidence | Local sequence and feedback tested. |
Operating envelope
The system envelope, Kit or chemistry limits, installed module configuration, project evidence and receiver criteria all apply. The narrowest valid limit governs.
| Envelope layer | Governing rule | Checks before release |
|---|---|---|
| System | Liquor and service conditions stay inside the applicable system boundary. | pH, temperature, viscosity, chloride, conductivity and materials. |
| Kit | The application Kit defines compatible liquor and recovery route. | Target, competing ions, reagents and sequence. |
| Module | Selected selective configuration defines loading and cycle limits. | Flow, media state, contact, wash and regeneration. |
| Receiver | Product and raffinate require separate acceptance. | Composition, flow, capacity and off-spec route. |
Safety, cleaning and lifecycle
Safe state, cleaning, maintainability and evidence gates are part of the technical definition, not afterthoughts.
