FLT · Solid-process module

Adapt Flotation

Adds optional upstream beneficiation when representative testwork supports flotation and a selected OEM package has a defined concentrate and tailings duty.

Module function

What it does—and what it does not do.

The functional boundary is explicit so a module is never treated as a universal process claim.

DOES

Defined module functions

  • Accepts only a qualified slurry prepared for the selected flotation basis.
  • Creates a wet concentrate stream for transfer to Utility.
  • Maintains a separate, named tailings and off-spec route.
  • Keeps OEM equipment selection and performance responsibility explicit.
DOES NOT

Explicit exclusions

  • No direct wet transfer to the dry-only AFCM.
  • No universal recovery, grade or throughput claim.
  • No OEM selection without representative testwork.

How the module works

The FLT mechanism, step by step.

Each step names both the physical function and the evidence required before the next handover.

01Confirm feed

Representative sample and flotation test record.

02Prepare slurry

Feed state and reagent basis accepted.

03Float

OEM operating state and stream identity confirmed.

04Route concentrate

Utility receiver ready and route proven.

05Route tailings

Residual ownership and available capacity confirmed.

Stream schedule

Every inlet, product and residual has an owner.

A stream is not released merely because the equipment can move it. Its state, route and receiving boundary must be accepted.

Published datasheet

What is fixed, selectable and project-specific.

Unsupported values are never guessed. The table states either the current public definition or exactly how the value is established.

Interface schedule

What crosses the module boundary.

Process, utility, residual and control handovers are listed separately so responsibility is visible.

Operating envelope

The applicable limits form a hierarchy.

The system envelope, Kit or chemistry limits, installed module configuration, project evidence and receiver criteria all apply. The narrowest valid limit governs.

Envelope layerGoverning ruleChecks before release
SystemMust remain within the accepted Adapt process and site interface envelope.Temperature, chemistry, solids, transport and containment.
OEMSelected equipment retains its approved feed and operating limits.Flow, pulp density, particle size, reagents and air duty.
ProjectRepresentative testwork defines the usable duty.Mineralogy, liberation, variability, grade and recovery basis.
ReceiverBoth concentrate and tailings require named receivers.Quality, flow, capacity and off-spec route.

Safety, cleaning and lifecycle

The module includes more than the process duty.

Safe state, cleaning, maintainability and evidence gates are part of the technical definition, not afterthoughts.

01

Safety & release

  • Confirm reagent hazards, slurry release, rotating equipment and site exposure controls.
  • Provide containment and an explicit tailings / off-spec destination.
  • Local permissives and independent protection retain their allocated authority.
02

Cleaning & changeover

  • Define flush and drainage routes from the selected OEM package.
  • Verify no cleaning liquid can be misrouted to the dry AFCM interface.
03

Engineering & service

  • Representative flotation programme and OEM selection support.
  • Interface, route and receiver engineering.
  • Package FAT/SAT and performance verification against the released basis.
