DLEM · Water-process module

Direct Lithium Extraction Module

Concentrates lithium selectively from an independently accepted lithium-bearing water and keeps product solution, raffinate and service residuals separate.

Module function

What it does—and what it does not do.

The functional boundary is explicit so a module is never treated as a universal process claim.

DOES

Defined module functions

  • Receives only prequalified lithium-bearing water.
  • Guards the selective medium or capture function.
  • Runs capture, wash and elution / release as separate states.
  • Produces a lithium-rich solution plus separately routed raffinate and residuals.
DOES NOT

Explicit exclusions

  • Unqualified raw produced water cannot enter DLEM. Feed may come through PWCM or another independently accepted pretreatment system, but DLEM owns its feed-acceptance decision.
  • No public recovery, selectivity or cycle-life guarantee.
  • The P0 framework does not release a DLE chemistry, technology route, feed/product envelope, capacity or consumable value.

How the module works

The DLEM mechanism, step by step.

Each step names both the physical function and the evidence required before the next handover.

01Accept water

Source and DLEM inlet criteria accepted.

02Guard

Guard state and feed route valid.

03Capture

Cycle, flow and media state inside released basis.

04Wash / elute

Wash and elution identities and destinations proven.

05Verify streams

Each receiver criteria met.

Stream schedule

Every inlet, product and residual has an owner.

A stream is not released merely because the equipment can move it. Its state, route and receiving boundary must be accepted.

Published datasheet

What is fixed, selectable and project-specific.

Unsupported values are never guessed. The table states either the current public definition or exactly how the value is established.

Interface schedule

What crosses the module boundary.

Process, utility, residual and control handovers are listed separately so responsibility is visible.

Operating envelope

The applicable limits form a hierarchy.

The system envelope, Kit or chemistry limits, installed module configuration, project evidence and receiver criteria all apply. The narrowest valid limit governs.

Safety, cleaning and lifecycle

The module includes more than the process duty.

Safe state, cleaning, maintainability and evidence gates are part of the technical definition, not afterthoughts.

01

Safety & release

  • Confirm brine, reagent, pressure, chemical exposure and spent-media hazards.
  • Prevent cross-routing between product, raffinate, regenerant and off-spec streams.
  • Do not run a cycle without valid media identity and receiver routes.
02

Cleaning & changeover

  • Define wash, regeneration and cleaning around the selected media and brine chemistry.
  • Track consumable identity, media life and spent-media destination.
03

Engineering & service

  • Representative-water selectivity and cycle programme.
  • Pretreatment, media, reagent, product and residual engineering.
  • FAT/SAT and case-specific recovery / product verification.
